I don’t think we’ll ever understand time. “It went by too fast,” I find myself saying. “Where’d the time go?” The days are long, but the weeks fly by. How the seasons change. One after the next. I want to do meaningful things. I want to climb the second mountain. The one full of intention and purpose. Not worrying about tomorrow. Not thinking about the wind that fills the sail of time. I want to think about the warmth of the sun. The way it feels to swim! I want to learn. To teach. To be okay with my misunderstanding. I hope time forgives me for the way I scorn and laugh at it. What would happen if we just understood. Oh how it must feel to be time. Watching people waste their days. Seeing them do things that they hate. If only they knew how little of it there was to give! Maybe they would change their ways. Walk left instead of right. Go the unconventional route. I hope to get to know time someday. I’ve got some apologies to give.
